WELCOME Making Spirits Bright, Inc. is a volunteer organization that provides short-term assistance in the form of food, clothing and/or gifts to indigent children in the community, children who have experienced a loss of a parent or legal guardian or suffer from a chronic/terminal illness. For the year 2005, Making Spirits Bright was able to deliver 60 Easter baskets to special children throughout our community. We sponsored four children to attend Camp Angel Wings (A camp put on by hospice for children dealing with the loss of a loved one). For our Christmas event we supplied 45 families, over 100 children with complete Christmas meals, toys, major necessities and stockings for these families. Our families are not just from our immediate area, they are from all over Massachusetts and some from out of state. Making Spirits Bright directors personally meet with all families requesting assistance. We hear their stories, fears, sorrows, loss and illnesses. There is certain criteria the applicants must meet in order to receive assistance from us. We focus at all times on the most deserving families. |
Together, we can make a difference in our community. President and Founder: Jill Taylor Vice President: Allison Finnerty Secretary: Michele Humphrey Treasurer: Sandra Belli Media Director: Bonnie Nectow |
